Support us on our road to a living wage!

Did you know that most musicians in Ithaca earn less than minimum wage, or often, nothing at all?

Meanwhile, they spend 3 hours a day practicing to keep up with the physical demands of playing an instrument professionally, 1-3 hours a day studying scores, 1-2 hours listening to recordings of the music being performed, as well 1-2 hours learning other instruments’ parts in the ensemble.

Support us as we create a model where musicians can earn a living wage!

Ithaca New Music Collective is working to create a sustainable model that will provide a living wage to our talented, dedicated musicians who deserve fair pay for their efforts, skillsets, and training.

If you appreciate local music, love a musician, or simply want to support the efforts of providing fair pay to artists, please make a donation!

Ithaca New Music Collective Call for Scores

If you are a composer living in Ithaca (or have lived in Ithaca in the past), we invite you to submit your original composition for consideration in our upcoming March 18 concert.

Between six and eight compositions will be selected and performed by Ensemble INMC.
